Acupuncture is a safe, painless, and effective form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Ultra-thin needles are applied to specific points on the body to stimulate the nervous system and improve the flow of energy throughout the body. The improved energy flow can stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities, relieve many physical ailments, promote physical and emotional well-being, and assist with lifestyle issues such as weight loss, stress management, and smoking cessation, as well as many other conditions.
Recent clinical studies have shown that acupuncture can be an effective treatment for a variety of diseases and conditions. Below is a list of some of the conditions that our acupuncturists can treat.

Your first treatment session begins with an in-depth consultation with our acupuncturist during which you discuss your medical history and your wellness related goals. The acupuncturist will create a treatment plan to address your health concerns and any other concerns discussed during this consultation. The first session includes a treatment with acupuncture needles. How you respond to the acupuncture will guide the acupuncturist for your future treatment sessions.
The treatment will help the energy flow of the body, sometimes called Qi (Pronounced “chee”) to flow in a clear and balanced manner. The acupuncture needles, about the width of a human hair, are inserted at specific locations along the body’s meridians. These needles are inserted just deep enough into the skin to keep them from falling out and are left in place for several minutes. This should cause virtually no pain. Occasionally, the acupuncturist may adjust the needles or apply heat or a mild electrical current to enhance the effects of acupuncture.
